A MESSAGE FROM THE FIRST LADY

A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO ALL CHRISTIAN WOMEN

by First Lady Vida Abena Williams

.......................................…………………………………….

GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE

Every Christian woman has a divine destiny, yet we cannot fulfill that God-given assignment until we accept our value in the light of the Word of God. In the book of Esther, Mordecai challenged Esther to embrace the divine purpose God has placed before her. Esther was a Jewish orphan, raised by her uncle Mordecai. She had no particular promise, yet the book of Esther records,” Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti"[2.17].

Why are we reluctant to accept the favour of God in our lives, as Esther did? Sometimes we struggle in life after we have accepted Jesus as our personal Saviour. We find ourselves dealing with feelings of low self-esteem more than ever. Our insecurities manifest themselves in many forms e.g. inferiority, inadequacy, guilt, rejection, and unworthiness. These feelings become characteristics that do not resemble the God to whom we belong. Every time we try to do something for the Lord, Satan reminds us of our weaknesses. We struggle with our inadequacies.

STOP BEING A VICTIM

The enemy sees to it that we get confirmation from the people he controls to bring his message to us. The devil uses this weakness to keep you from God’s best for your life. The Bible says he has come “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10). His mission is to steal what God has already provided for us free of charge. The joy of Satan is to kill any form of hope that lies within our spirits.

This ought not to be so. It is time to wake up and reclaim our glory in Christ. The question is how do you do it?

IDENTIFY YOURSELF IN CHRIST

When we identify ourselves in Christ, we become strong in Him. And this gives us the boldness to fulfill the destiny He has for us. At times we have no problem praying for other peoples need and desires, but we have much difficult in believing God’s promises for us. Could it be that we believe we do not deserve them?

KNOW WHO YOU ARE

The Word of God tells us that;

-We are the daughters of the King of Kings. John 1:12

-We are blessed in Christ. Ephesians 1:3.

-We belong to the family of Royals and Priests. 1 Peter 2:9.

-We are the First Fruits among God’s creation (James 1:18)

-We are the light of the world (Matt 5:14).

-We are fearfully and wonderfully made- Psalm 139:14 etc…..

That’s what God declares about you and me. Once we believe that, we certainly accept ourselves as we are – the PRECIOUS ONES OF THE LORD.

May God Bless You all.

First Lady Williams.
